How comes IBs are always hiring analysts throughout the year?
hi there
so i'm currently working as an accountant at a big bank here, but I'm looking to move into IB early next year after I take my CFA exam this december.
i've just been casually looking through job listings on the usual IBs and i notice that virtually every single one of them is always hiring analysts for IB throughout the year. why is this?
i thought they'd only take them on during the 'grad scheme' traditional start of october, and those will be done straight through the grad scheme - not single job availabilities on their 'experienced professionals' part of the careers page.
any thoughts?
IB has a large turnover rate which makes the need for new hires constant.
even for analysts? surely they're the people that they'd want to hang on to. cheap labour that would do anything to impress and can have a shit load of work just dumped on them.
and by turnover rate, do you mean people getting fired or people quitting of their own accord
