You should just look up local boutiques and reach out. But, if you know anything about reviewing a company and how these types of processes work, look into DealStream or BizBuySell.
Those seem too small. While my boss didn't specify the exact size, she seems to want to do something bigger, like $50M+. I suppose I will just reach out to local boutiques then. None of the bay area ones seem to have chemicals expertise though...
I know of a boutique with tentacles in China and US and with some prior transactions in chemicals. If you can expand a bit more on the case, I can put you in contact with someone there (I'm home on a Friday night, my benevolence is peaking). PM me if interested.

Yeah, this is pretty easy. Ask your boss if you have the ability to engage an investment bank to do buys-side work. If yes, then do it. If not, they are sending you on a fishing expedition - good luck.
