Hi,
As the title suggests, I am in a satellite office for an EB and am looking to lateral to the headquarter office in NY.
How would people suggest I go about this process?
I don’t want to upset anyone in my current office and want to avoid them finding out I am attempting to switch.

There are plenty of threads on this. It's simple. If you are interning, wait until you get a full-time offer and then ask. If you are an analyst, you are going to have to earn your stripes at your office and attempt to lateral after approximately one year.
If you are a first year analyst, when is a wise time to speak to HR about lateraling office locations? Around the 1 year mark or earlier?
Don't speak to HR, bring it up with the staffer.
