How is the fee split between coverage and product groups?
Obviously difference products have different fee structure, but since product groups and industry groups cover the same clients: let's say a M&A transaction between 2 tech companies, how is the fee divided between M&A product group and the tech coverage guys? Thanks for the color.
bumpp
My bank does all M&A modeling w/in industry groups, but for stuff like a private placement or capital markets deal I know it can vary depending on who sourced the deal, and in a PP if the investor ends up being a financial or strategic.
This. Whoever sourced the deal brings in a large percentage of fees to his/her group
