How long does an investment banker take to appraise a patent or company
I currently own a company and I am looking to sell a patent that I own and was curious what kind of time table I would be looking at for something like that. It is in the IT/Gaming industry and the company/product is incredibly unique. Thanks
It depends; a valuation could take weeks for a super complex company, or not much time at all for a more simply structured one. Given that it seems like you don't have revenues yet, it might be tricky to value the product...you could do a comparable analysis of other "unique products" in the space, but it might require some digging. If you're looking for a definitive # of hours I think that might be difficult to pinpoint without knowing more.
