How long will the lateral market stay hot?
From my research and the amount of recruiters posting about lateral opportunities, it seems the market for lateral analysts is currently strong. Do you think that this trend will continue? If so for how long? I’ve been with my group for over a year, but I can foresee myself in banking for the long term. I would like to end up at an EB, but I’m just worried that if I wait another year or two to lateral the market may be cooler. Thoughts?
The lateral market is still very active. Had a good friend recently who lateraled from a lower MM to a top BB and was in several other processes with EBs in different geographies (LA, NY). PM me for more info
Did they use a recruiter or know anybody at those firms?
All of it was through cold networking and being persistent as hell.

It's still hot here in APAC and probably will be so for quite some time since everyone is still expecting high dealflow in 2022 and beyond.
