How many banks use an instant messaging system?
My bank has Skype chat and I’ve noticed only some groups use it (mine is one of them). I’ve actually found it to be more frustrating than helpful. Just curious as to the norm

Literally all of them. Emailing to quickly chat would be a fucking pain. Some use Skype, jabber, symphony, teams, IB, various other smaller offerings.
Skype group chats are fucking garbage though, so it's no wonder no one uses it.
Some of them even illegally use WeChat

the fine was specifically for whatsapp (not wechat) because it was a violation by someone in the US who cover domestic clients. Don't spread misinformation.
