How many deals did you close in 2022? How many are you on now?
Title says it all, but how many deals did everyone close in 2022? Not talking about your team/group/bank, but just deals that you personally worked on. For me it was 2, with 2 falling apart. I’m now currently staffed on 2 deals in the middle market.
2 sellsides
4 sell-sides, 1 buy-side, 1 IPO, 1 de-SPAC, 2 follow-ons, 3 debt financings. Pretty busy year.
Currently on 3 sell-sides and 1 follow-on.
Jesus christ
Nice dude. Did EOY bonus reflect the hard work?
Yup - bonus held up decently against last year's benchmark.
It seems pretty common that VPs will be on more deals than analysts and associates right?
Have been on 3 live deals since joining full-time. #1 died before launch (shitco looking to raise debt). #2 has a bid date coming up but has been an extremely long process (big deal and got the focus of everyone in the group). Got destaffed from #3 because of #2 and haven’t been staffed on anything worthwhile given how intense #2 is.
Lots of ECM, no M&A
Closed 2 sellside M&A in 2022. Currently on 2 sellsides that should close this year.
