How many hours do firms prorate by?
For internships, when firms say they're going to pay you hourly based on a prorated analyst salary, are they assuming a 40 hour work week for their calculation, even though both parties know that you'll be working more than 40 hours?
they prorate it on months/days, not based on hours. So you'll get the same regular paycheck as all of the other analysts while you're there. It's just phrased what way as everyone thinks in terms of annual comp.
As a summer analyst, I got paid hourly, prorated over 80 hours a week.
