How many people know about iboasis?

Out of curiousity, what percentage of all IB hopefuls in the US (those serious enough to get interviews) do you think knows about this site and checks it out from time to time?

Also, what about real bankers?

What is this iboasis!? This is WSO, it was changed to accept all greedy, aspiring wall streeters. But 'm sure that those serious enough to do online research about ibanking and what not wouldn't have a tough time finding this site. Although, it did take me a few months (but then again I found it in it's REALLY early stages).

WSO is global and will continue to go global.

you guys are being very sensitive. the name wallstreetoasis makes more sense than ibankingoasis -- and everything else that was more general (like financeoasis), was taken already and is boring. i was actually trying to be more INCLUSIVE to traders, consultants HF professionals, PE profesionals, etc, since ibankers often jump into these fields or are interested in them. I think almost anyone would agree that "Wall Street" is almost synonymous with "finance" -- and Ivan, I don't think the name has anything to do with me thinking NY/US is the only place to work in IB. I worked for Rothschild for 2 years and the US arm was one of the smallest so I think I have the proper perspective -- in fact I trained in London and I can assure you the "myth" goes both ways. and i can assure you i'm not a believer.

the site is definitely not intended to just target kids in NY or the US. in fact, we have a decent # of Londoners like yourself as well as users from China, Japan, Australia and everywhere around the world. if the words "wall street" turn people off then i guess that's unfortunate.

While the site is primarily US bankers and students, I think you'll soon find many more finance professionals and students interested in finance joining from the UK. (one of the targets in a marketing campaign I've just started rolling out).

Thanks,

Patrick

I liked ibankingoasis better back, at least you felt more at home when you worked in the city. Now I am just a Londoner droping by a website targeted to future New Yorkers.
