How much do VP make?
Can EB or BB VP in coverage or product make ~$750k a year? I see some source saying VP total comp is $500-900k. Is it realistic for VP in EB or BB to hit around $750k for most years?

Yes
At a BB, it’s more on the $450-750k range for VP years, with $750k being for top ranked VP3, and bottom being for average VP1. Maybe last year it was a bit more across the board, but that’s the usual range in my mind and based on what my buddies and I got paid.
EB pay more of course. Last year I heard of a VP1 at EB getting $725k. Just a datapoint.
Did those VP bring any deals into the firm or did they solely work on execution?
Just execution.
What type of hours were they working to pull in $750k?
Not enough to stay in banking.
idk what the median pay for BB/EB VPs is across the street, but I can say with reasonable certainty that all-in comp for fiscal year 2021 was an outlier/anomaly. Comp will likely be down materially this year in IB. Ppl expecting 1.5x - 2.0x+ bonuses as a multiple of their base salaries are going to be disappointed.
