How much more intense is an analyst experience at an EB in comparison to BB?
With bonuses coming out, it appears that nearly all of the BB banks are paying their analysts considerably less in bonuses compared to EBs. Is this because EB analysts have more complex work and longer hours than BBs on average?
For what it’s worth, I’ve had alumni at multiple EBs (EVR, MC) tell me they would take their bank over any BB.
Interesting
No it's because BB's are bringing in considerably less overall revenue due to handicapped capital markets activity (SPACs/IPOs etc.) while M&A activity is still going strong.
