How much time between an application and the other?
Ok, so it's quite a bit I've been asking myself: if I apply for a SA position, after how much time can I re-apply? The rationale for this being that I'm a uni student.
If for example i apply when I'm attending my last bachelor degree year, can I re-apply one year after while attending a Msc in finance? And if that also goes wrong, can i re-apply just as soon as I graduate, so let's say exactly a year after?
I was told that consulting it's pretty strict, and if you fail your interview you're pretty much screwed. Is it the same way for IBs?
I think that records are erased every 12 months, so technically you can apply every academic year. Having said that, a friend's friend mentioned that if you ever get rejected by a Wall Street firm it's really hard to get accepted there later on in your career. I don't think this is true, but he works at a top firm.
In what sense is it difficult to be accepted later? Because they "remember" you (i.e. stuff on you they don't erase)? If this is not the case though i cannot see how it works, one could become a better candidate even in 6 months time if he works his ass off studying the markets, models and some decent networking.
