How often are you working sundays?
Just saw the thread on Sunday scaries and from the responses, it looks like most people have their Sundays off on a normal basis. Current analyst at a strong BB coverage group and find myself working a majority of Sundays with the occasional radio silent day and occasional 9AM - 3AM grind.
Curious to see how many people on here are working Sundays. FWIW my firm has a strictly enforced no-work Saturday policy
Following but just as a data point generally chill here
I rest on Sundays but some of my friends rest on Saturdays or just grind 24/7 and then go buck wild for days at a time
Think a lot depends on when you or your employer takes sabbath if they do at all
My groups Saturday policy is strictly enforced. Only worked one. I usually only have 3-4 hours of updates, provided there are no Monday meetings. Typically do 2 hours on saturdays and the rest on Sundays.
Same boat with protected Saturdays that are generally respected.
I usually clock in 4-10 hours on the average Sunday. Not usually constant work/grinding, but enough stuff going on that you at least have to be near a computer which kind of makes planning impossible. For my teams, seems like the 6pm-midnight window feels like a usual work night where everyone is online. Usually a few random things pop up throughout the day but generally pretty quiet until the afternoon/night. Have had one Sunday that was a full fledged workday (10am-2am) and a handful with 0 work in my ~6 months.
Good way to put it. Even on days I’m grinding until 2 on Sundays it’s not a constant grind necessarily. 100% impossible to make brunch plans with GF or go out to workout even
Enough work on Sunday to work like any other full day (10am to past midnight...). At a mid-market healthcare-only boutique.
Hopefully you get a Sunday off every now and then. That extra day off is a game changer…
Hmm MTS, if you don't mind me asking?
work on sunday all the time. all day
its basically a work day
at UBS
all senior driven too
Fuck what group are you in? Incoming SA. Are all the groups that sweaty?
I heard UBS fucking blows
Have heard this more than once from UBS. Very tough
Also at UBS and worked so many Sundays (and Saturdays) in a row before Christmas I lost count lol
balance sheet bank - haven't worked on a Sunday for at least the past year and can usually ignore any Sunday emails until Monday morning. Normally I'd trash on my bank for low comp/reputation but now I'm actually pretty grateful for it if everyone else doesn't even get a full weekend.
What bank. Sounds great
Is this WF? If so, this was the main reason why I gave them a serious look after receiving an offer. Cracks me up how they get so much shit here.
