How pedigree focused are Manhattan banks vs Chicago

Monkeys,

I have a few part question. Background: Non-target state school (top 25 business program), Decent GPA (3.6), IB experience (internship), and PE experience (internship)

  1. Is it truly a misconception that Manhattan IB is MUCH more selective that Chicago IB, generally speaking of course (speaking to the BB)

  2. How focused on "pedigree" are CS, DB, and JPM at?

  3. With both of these questions present, how can I with my experiences most effectively concentrate my networking efforts and most effectively "sell" what I have done?

I ask these because I have contacts at all these in both Chicago and NY. I want to begin networking now for next season, but I want to focus my efforts as effectively as possible.

Thank you!
