How proficient you should be in R and Python?

I've seen a lot of people in the finance realm adding R and Python as skill sets in their resume. Me being a finance graduate, am taking a few classes on the same from MOOCS. So how proficient should one be in these languages to add them on their resume?

In all seriousness, it really doesn't matter. As long as you can speak intelligently about projects you've done, you're good
