how should I make my experience in social media as an advantage

I was a computer science major and I had several research projects in social media and technology, as well as some startup experience. The projects and startups are all about analyzing data extracted from social media (topics, trends, etc.) I got interested in IBD after the spring of my sophomore year.

Just want to know: how should I make my experience in social media as an advantage during IBD interview? Is there certain group in IBD that looks favorably upon people who have such experience?

Thanks everyone

You don't talk about the social media stuff, because no one gives a shit and IMO that sector is kind of a joke, post Facebook. But you DO talk about how you're a CS major and are really fucking smart.
