How to beg for IB Internship?
Pls don't flame me, the title is just a very blunt way of describing the point of this post.
I have an interview at a boutique IBank coming up for a summer 2022 position. A bit of background, I just finished freshman year and I am currently at a microboutique doing financing work (I was planning on staying here for the summer but tbh the work sucks and the experience is NOTHING compared to what I would get at this other place).
To be honest, I want this other job badly; I think I would be much happier personally if I got it. I'm already alone in a new city and job dissatisfaction doesn't help with my headspace.
So here is my question, and I don't mean to be pessimistic, just thorough: if after the interview they don't think I am experienced enough / offer the position to someone else, what can I do to convince them to hire me?
Do I offer to work for free? Do I tell them to give me a 1-2 week trial period so I can prove myself? What wildcard can I pull?

Going into an interview with this mindset will be catastrophic. Sack up and act like the job is yours to lose.
You gotta learn how to sell yourself. No other way of learning besides mock interviews
Agree with everyone else, there are no wildcards to pull... just hope for the best and try to express your interest as sincerely as you can, but seeming desperate is a bad look
