How to best position yourself for placement into RX?

Interning in a generalist program next summer across M&A and RX. I'd like to place into the RX group for FT. Other than the obvious like networking and trying to get as much RX exposure over the summer that I can, what steps can I take?

Currently, I don't have super strong technicals in RX, so what sources would you recommend to best prepare? Should I begin with the Moyer book? Or is that too advanced at this stage

On a side note, I'm interested in doing A2A in RX and not so much in distressed buyside opportunities.

Op already said he has this generalist internship locked down.
no technical knowledge will be of any help during an internship. What will help op stick out is 1) expressing interest 2) making an effort to get to know the group and 3) being a competent intern and normal person

happy to pm for more details but I think the most annoying thing an intern could do is to tell me everything they’ve learned from Moyer and then take 2 hours to respond to a simple email. If op can have one analyst and one associate like working with them, they will be able to place for full time in whichever groups they’ve made good impressions.
