How to break into IB

Hello,

After extensive research, breaking into Investment Banking (IB) appears quite complex. To enhance my chances, I'll pursue a Master's in Finance at a UC school in California starting Fall '24. The program includes an internship, but as I'm not yet enrolled, I'm uncertain about the application timeline.

Profile summary: Undergrad in Business/Finance from a State University in Germany, study abroad in the US, internships with Deutsche Bank and BNP Paribas in Asset Management, first FT job at Germany's largest Federal bank in Real Assets Fund of Fund Investment, currently 2 years in PE at Europe's largest Private Equity Fund in Investor Relations.

Any insights would be appreciated!
