How to contact this guy

While interning at a wealth management firm this summer, I got the chance to sit in on an IPO pitch in which the company going public pitched their stocks to our brokers. They were accompanied by a Senior VP at a boutique whose card I got. I'd like to try and somehow connect with him to see if there are any opportunities at his bank. What do you suggest I do?

Email him and say how you met him and that you'd like to talk to him about what he does, how to break into the industry, etc. and ask to talk on the phone or if you're close enough to meet in person for coffee. I wouldn't push straight out a job until you've talked to him. If a call/coffee goes well follow up saying that you'd like to inquire about possible opps at his bank and how does it work.
