How to decide which Coverage Group to join for SA/FT

Hey everyone, I’m an incoming SA at an EB this summer and it’s a generalist program, but we have to pick a team where which will act as ‘home base’ and we will spend most of the internship working there. That being said I’m not sure how to decide which group to preference when they send out the ranking forms to us in the later months of spring.

Do I just decide based on business and industry news I’ve been reading up on or just based on which groups are strongest at my firm? A mix of both? Or is there a better way?

Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!
