How to find advising banks to both sides of M&A?
I'm digging around FIG-related M&A examples. I want to understand which banks were advisors to both sides of each merger or acquisition. I tried googling and it helped a bit, but for some M&A cases I still haven't found the advisors. I'm wondering if there is any database which tracks that so I could easily check it, or what are your methods to find which banks were advisors if you face a similar question.
A few examples I have in mind (but there are more):
- Mastercard acquiring Dynamic Yield
- Mastercard acquiring Aiia
- Visa acquiring Currencycloud
You're just need to find the advisor on each deals? CapIQ would be the go to (idk if you have access). Otherwise I would try to find company press releases or newswire releases.
Refinitiv Eikon Software. In the search bar type “DMOV” to navigate to “Deals Market Overview” Within this menu hit the subtab “Current Deals” and it will list all M&A deals for your selected filters with targets, acquirors, and their respective advisors.
