How do you guys go about finding those lateral opportunities that don't have job postings? I've heard that lateral recruiting is quite unstructured, but wasn't sure how to best go about this. Do you guys just reach out to random groups that you might be interested in hoping that there's a vacancy? Thanks.

Helps to have a network of people in banking. I'm just beginning talks for a lateral move that a friend told me about and is not posted anywhere. Competent networking is the key to this entire industry.
Headhunter and knowing people at other banks, simple as that
nobody uses headhunters for laterals at junior level. more common at D/MD but still rare given small industry
