How to get an introduction?

I have an informational interview with an associate at a well known boutique (Evercore, Greenhill, Lazard, centerview, etc.) and from talking to a friend who interned there I know the associate in charge of summer analyst recruiting.

I want to get the person I have an informational interview with today to introduce me, but I don't know how to go about it since I can't actually mention my friend told me who's in charge of recruiting since he reneged on his offer. I also feel like asking him straight up to introduce me to whoever's in charge of summer recruiting will be too pushy.

Ask straight up. Towards the end of the conversation though, only if the conversation goes well. Make a good impression, do your homework/research on the firm. They know your intentions, you want a SA gig, they've been in your shoes.
