How to leverage my background for FT
Okay so right now I am doing a summer internship at a BB within their Social Investment Funds Group. This group is one of the first of it's kind and they have a bunch of socially responsible portfolios ranging from loans to microfinance institutions on the international side to community development finance on the domestic side (US).
Last summer I worked at a "strategic financial communications" (Kekst, Abernathy MacGregor) firm which recently won the award for most M&A communications plans done last year.
I realize that I am fortunate to have worked in two groups that do interesting and forward-thinking work but that they are also very niche in many ways. I just wanted people's advice on what they think the would be the coolest path to take in terms of full time. I'm not quantitatively inclined at all and I'm interested in strategic work involving emerging markets if possible. What would you do and what firms would you reach out to?
