How to make lots of money early in career?
I'm a rising sophomore at a HYPSM school studying computer science. Originally wanted to go into the startup space but that's kinda low odds of success, so going to optimize for finance and if the startup thing happens along the way, so be it.
What do I need to do to make lots of money early in my career. I may have the opportunity to work at a relatively well known HF next summer and could try to convert that into a full time role post grad, but what I've heard is that HF can pigeonhole you compared to IB/PE, so don't want that to happen.
What should I be optimizing for to maximize my profit making capability? I'm willing to work as much as it takes to make this happen.
Kneepads and get to work
You don't make a lot of money early in your career, relatively speaking. You can see what BB/EB analysts make by browsing the forum; that's what you'll make. Highly unlikely you'd make more as an entry level at a small hedge fund.
