How to quit internship?

I am currently at a summer internship in an AM firm. I just got an offer for a summer internship in a large Investment Bank, and I will definitely take it.
How should I quit my current internship while avoiding as much damage as possible?

I’m a rising sophomore in a low-target

I'm confused about your situation. You have an internship where you're working at currently, and you have an offer for next summer or for this summer? If it's next summer, you want to quit because you're bored or something? In this case, suck it up and continue. If it's an offer for this summer, that's tricky. The nicest thing would be to come in to work, do your job, and at the end of the day speak to your boss and say you're quitting for personal reasons or whatever. Or you can do it by phone. Don't do it through email though, that's not a good move.

Be gracious, let them know how much you appreciate the opportunity they gave you, and let them know you're leaving because the IB opportunity is more aligned with your long-term goals. If the AM firm is worth anything they will understand.
