Since this is an issue with all teams that are not permanently "offline", try the following:
Go to calendar and Start Meeting (just yourself). Then go back to Teams Main window where you see your chat and go to top right corner where the little red light is. Change it to green, and you will just appear "online" as long as the meeting runs.
IMO easier than placing something on your keyboard or buying a device to move your mouse.

They will catch this if they have any monitoring software checking for employee activity. If they don’t and you just want to keep yourself green, then it will work.
The teams meeting method is the best option by far though
gotcha. i used to use the teams call trick, but i work on a small team now. someone would notice eventually if i was always “in a call” (if you hover) and no one else was.
Think my bank caught onto this quick. Used to work (used to open up an excel file and put something on keyboard) but doesn't seem to anymore. Mouse clicks won't do it either.

Yes! You keep the physical mouse mover right next to the mouse. If you want to use it, lift the mouse, place it on the mover.
If you have double screens, keep a live YouTube running video full screen on one of the desktops and keep your laptop charging it’ll keep you active/available all day
Might be firm specific but this does not work for me - I go yellow within a few minutes. Used to pre-Teams, but no longer
There's a program called "Caffeine" that you just run on your computer and it keeps your CPU in active mode 24/7. Super easy to download and use.
You wouldn't be allowed to run that.
