I'm doing the exact same thing you are and I can tell you that it is indeed well received for S&T only though. I don't think it makes much of a difference for banking.
I don't know about the dual degree, but math alone is better than finance alone. Get the quant stuff in undergrad. EVrything they teach you about finance at the undergrad level will be covered in CFA LI & LII.
