HR, Facebook, and what is tagging etiquette?
Someone please lay some knowledge...
Do they check facebook with capabilities beyond the normal user?
Anyone get fired / not get a job because of their FB profile?
What's the current "tagging" etiquette? Assume that the person has the "approve all" setting on? Ask permission first? Or just don't even bother ie let them tag themselves.
Thanks.
I've had HR of a corporation I worked for call me about my FB pictures...just saying...
General rule of thumb - never put anything on Facebook you wouldn't want an employer to see.
Is it wrong to tag someone in a photo they might not want to show on their profile? or at this point should we just assume anyone that gives a sh*t has the "approve all" setting?
Tagged a lawyer friend in a photo, he got pissed at me, and I had to lecture him on how to adjust his settings & that he shouldve known this already... he apologized
Don't tag people unless you know they are cool with it. I hate when people tag me in photos where I am obviously drunk or doing stupid shit. Really, you should only be doing tagging if it's a close friend. And yes, the general rule is don't put pictures up you wouldn't want an employer to see.
Why dont you just turn the "approval all tags" function on?
