I don't get it
Cool story bro.
Riveting tale, chap.
Choke yourself
Well, we got a few GS employees of our own. More importantly, we have guys from JPM, which is now the best firm on the street. ;-)
It's absolutely true that 80% of WSO is college students. Some of them act like punks, and some of the trolls on the forum are facepalmingly immature. That doesn't mean there's anything wrong with WSO, though.
JPM has stolen money from MF Global segregated accounts. Jamie Dimon and John Corzine should be in prison.
They also manipulate the silver market on a daily basis.
Oooooh, one of these guys
Also, weren't you just asking how to break into banking? One moment you're a kid who clerked on the CBOT, next you're a GS employee?
Hi, my name is IlliniProgrammer. But most people call me Lloyd Blankfein or "Blankie" for short. Mr. Allin, please come up to my office on Monday morning.
ok, my work is done here. it is what it is. just going to keep my mind on my money and my money on my mind and let you people figure shit out. good luck.
Haha..probably one of those kids who couldn't make it in the real world.
what is real? life is politics and if you want to talk Serengeti I am born wealthy so I don't have to make it in the real world to survive. If I want to have children I have to beat inflation otherwise they'll have shitty lives. It will also prove 'shirt sleeves to shirt sleeves in 3 generations' true.
when the 99% attack
[quote=ConanDBull]when the 99% attack[/
my father sold a company for 20 and I base my arguments on my personal dealings with wall street since. I am a 1% you fuck wit
all lies... you troll
being a part of the 1% doesn't mean you can't be a "99%er"
i guess george soros and victor niederhoffer are 99%ers.
Being in the 1% doesn't mean that someone (like the OP) needs to come off like a giant douche.
Just sayin that you can do more with humility and still be wealthy than flaunt it and come off like an entitled, spoiled jacknape that people hate.
Agreed. This post was useless, stupid and in bad taste.
lets get down to brass tax...my family was invested in a commodity trading advisor using MF global as a broker and thus have lost some money. I currently trade futures for a living as this is the only game in town. I see what is happening up close and personal and you people don't realize that this industry is being destroyed. do engineering, medicine, programming, sciences, or journalism. My main point is that Wall Street as it once was is coming to an end. Ibanking, asset management, and trading are not going to be a lucrative as they once were. BIS permitted 30 to 1 leverage and now they're changing it to 10 to 1. I was going to say the game is over, buit instead I will say that the game is SLOWER.
This is news? Did anyone ask? I agree with you on engineering and programming, but medicine and journalism? really??
Given reimbursement rate in medicine (my dad's a cardiologist and a lot of the reimbursements for his procedures are down 40%-50%...dramatically worse than the decline in pay for most finance gigs...let's not mention all the schooling you need) and journalism? Unless you are DAMN good and/or build your own blog with millions of visitors, this is also a tough profession unless you are an expert in a certain niche...and even then, almost every journalist will tell you it's extremely competitive and tough now knowing where your next paycheck is coming from.
I believe the current situation to be FUBAR. If you catch the tail end of internet ecommerce great but we most likely will be having a significant war in the near future according to debt levels. But I might be wrong, I am a pessimist.
Brass TACKS.
headdesk
manbearpig isn't considering the global macro because he is so involved in his ephemeral life and accomplishments.
Looks like someone watched a kyle bass video.
Troll?
