IB H1 League Tables - US Banks Gaining Market Share

https://markets.ft.com/data/league-tables/tables-and-trends

Top 5 US banks at the top spots across products with incontestably 1/ JPM (+23% YoY) then 2/ GS (+25% YoY) 3/ BofA (+25% YoY) 4/ Citi (+32% YoY) and 5/ MS (+23% YoY)

Interesting to see that all US BBs have gained market shares as their growth is above average. But also interesting to note that despite the context IB fees are up +8% YoY with ECM and DCM booming activity more than compensating M&A (and Loans) fees decline.

M&A 1/ GS (-19% YoY) 2/ JPM (-6% YoY) 3/ MS (+3% YoY) 4/ Citi (+9% YoY) 5/ BofA (+8% YoY) 6/ Evercore (+32% YoY) 7/ Centerview (Flat) 8/ Lazard (-7% YoY) 9/ CS (-10% YoY) 10/ Barclays (-38% YoY) Interesting to see that all banks are down except MS Citi BofA and Evercore, with an oustanding growth from Evercore. GS is sharply down but still n°1 and Barclays seems to have had an ugly H1. Overall fees to street are down 18%

ECM 1/ GS (+69% YoY) 2/ JPM (+44% YoY) 3/ MS (+38% YoY) 4/ BofA (+64% YoY) 5/ Citi (+55% YoY) Everyone is sharply up and ECM activity has been booming (+35%). GS leading the way and strong growth for BofA and Citi

DCM 1/ JPM (+65% YoY) 2/ BofA (+45% YoY) 3/ Citi (+49% YoY) 4/ MS (+44% YoY) 5/ GS (+52% YoY) Market size sharply up +30%. Balance Sheet Banks leading the way with an outstanding growth from JPM

Loans 1/ JPM (-13% YoY) 2/ BofA (-15% YoY) 3/ Citi (+7% YoY) 4/ GS (Flat) 5/ Mizuho (+9% YoY) Fees to street are down 13%. Citi is up while JP and BofA are down YoY
