IB Healthcare vs Industrials Coverage Group

How do you choose between the different coverage groups and master that area? I want to work at an investment bank, but I am not sure what coverage group I want to pursue. I am passionate about healthcare and, surprisingly industrials. I am looking to be dead set on a group so that I can maximize my time and become a stellar candidate for a bank. Does anyone have any tips for becoming a master in either healthcare or industrials? I would assume that healthcare groups hire people with a background in biology and other areas. I am not sure about industrials. I also want to know what the compensation is like for a first year analyst in healthcare or industrials groups? What are the hours? Are there enough deals in the space to be able to get paid well?
