IB hours have ruined my sleep, please help

I have never struggled with going to bed before in my life, but after my years as an analyst, I find it very difficult to sleep even when I finish work early.

Can you share some tips that worked for you? I am conscious of my problem, I hate myself for not being able to deal with it.

What’s your role now? It sounds like something psychologically is going on. I’d also be curious how far out of IB you are. My advice would be make sure you are exercising, don’t have caffeine after 4pm, and consider meditating. By meditating really I just mean sit still for 15 minutes a day and close your eyes. You don’t need to focus on breathing or anything just sit and let your mind wander.

Highly recommend reading "Why We Sleep" - fascinating read that will change your mindset towards the importance of sleep (also provides actionable tips closer to the end of the book).  TLDR; For something that we should spend 8 hours every day doing, we should really pay a lot more attention to how we sleep.
