IB Hours in HongKong

Hi Readers,

Just want to get a sense of what IB hours are like in HK compared to NYC. As well as exit opportunities for coming back to the US as a green card holder.

Your inputs are much appreciated, thanks!

Based on the most helpful WSO content, IB hours in Hong Kong are generally considered better than those in NYC. For example, one user mentioned working Monday-Thursday (10 AM-1 AM), Friday (10 AM-7 PM), and Sunday (12 PM until tasks are completed). This is seen as relatively good compared to peers in NYC, where hours are often more grueling.

As for exit opportunities, transitioning back to the US as a green card holder is possible but can be challenging. The caliber of training, deals, and networks in NYC is often regarded as superior, which can make it easier to secure roles in the US. However, building strong connections and gaining relevant experience in Hong Kong can still provide a pathway back to the US, especially if you leverage your network effectively.
