IB in NJ?

Hey fellow New Jersey people. Can anyone share some insight on any information on investment banking in New Jersey? Apart from Jersey City or bordering cities to New York, I haven’t seen any strong presence in investment banking. There are a few boutique or industry specific banks scattered in towns/cities like Morristown and Chatham. Are there any REGAL banks by the shore at a city like Atlantic City with lots of casinos and hotels? Any information would be helpful.

Those Atlantic City clients are represented by larger gaming groups based in NYC, coverage just drives down

You might find some teeny tiny boutiques but there's not a strong presence in NJ - why would there be when any NYC banker can easily reach those clients. Any banking beyond the lower middle market is centralized in NYC and a few satellite locations (Chicago, SF, Houston, few tier 2 cities)

Really helpful information, thank you. Do you know what banks specifically do? I’m assuming it’s the bulge brackets with good gaming groups like BAML, MS, DB etc

NY is typically where the banks are, you may be able to find a few regional shops but it'll likely not be a good experience overall
