IB Internship Not Going Well

Hi everyone,

I’m into my second week of interning at an investment bank and I’m not sure if it’s not going well or if I’m just going through a learning curve.

For starters, my bank said they will not provide intern training, and secondly my analyst gives poor instructions in regards to the tasks I am supposed to complete. Hence, I’ve been making a bunch of mistakes and I think my analyst is starting to get frustrated. Every time I ask question to clarify what I am supposed to do, he/she just seems to get frustrated. It’s gotten to the point where I’m uncomfortable asking questions and scared to hand in my deliverables.

If someone has some advice to help me out that would be much appreciated. I’m only in the 2nd of my 16 week internship, so I think there is more than enough time to turn it around.

Thank you
