IB Job Cuts: London Edition
Anyone hear any rumours on job cuts yet? Imagine that most banks will be looking to cut pretty soon given the crazy hiring market last year.
Places like Perella, Jefferies, Evercore and the BBs which hired like crazy are likely to start the proceedings. Read a rumour about the cuts at JPM. What about you guys, hear anything? If so, what level?
From what I know, Jeff is severely understaffed in certain teams. Won’t be surprised if JPM / EVR will actually cut jobs

Jefferies London is understaffed like hell, so I don't think they'll be cutting any time soon. I'd be willing to bet that a number of BBs will be cutting though.

HC and M&A for sure, don’t know the others. But I’d stay quite far from Hc unless you donmt want to find yourself turning useless comments 4am on a Friday night

Can confirm numerous MMs in London are still hiring and severely understaffed. There has been an exodus of experienced analysts and associates past 3-6 months and it shows. Finance really struggling atm.
