IB recruitment and Coronavirus
Is there any chance that IB recruitment could get pushed back because of Coronavirus? A couple banks cancelled their presentation/on-campus visit at my school because of it.

Definitely complicating office visits/in-person networking. My school also canceled some recruiting events.
This is what I was mainly thinking about when I posted this. I feel so much of the IB recruitment process is the “in-person networking” and then in-person interviews. Interesting to see how banks will adjust, if at all.
I had an in-person superday scheduled in the next two weeks that was converted to a Skype superday today.
Damn.. my worst fear

A diversity symposium was canceled at USC today. The one at Rutgers is still scheduled to take place in 3 weeks tho. I might have to fly to the east coast. if I can schedule some coffee chats while I’m out there it’ll prolly be worth it

Placement days in NY for 2020 interns are already being cancelled/virtualized/delayed so I would expect any recruitment for next summer to be just as if not more affected.
Lots of recruiting events/early insight stuff has been cancelled this week. (GS Women's Leadership Camp, for example).
Update: 3 out of 5 of this week’s IB presentations at my school have been cancelled. Everybody is assuming the other 2 to get cancelled as well.
Yep, superday pushed back, most of the banks are in "wait to see" mode
my firm hasn’t started (probably hold coffee chats and what not late april) but that has been pushed back already so take that as you will

I've had multiple coffee chats cancelled this week and next week. Do you think these meet-in person chats will be "unavailable" for a while and should just stick to phone calls instead if some people don't want to meet?
Yeah, I think it might. I had a call with an associate at a BB, and he told me that their interviews will definitely be pushed back but was uncertain about the application deadlines.
