IB to Automotive Industry

We have all heard of the “glorious” IB exits into PE, HF, tech companies, startups, etc. But I’m wondering what are the chances I can break into an automotive giant (think Lamborghini, Porsche, Ferrari). I think I’d enjoy my life more working at one of those, but it’s hard to give up my salary. Not sure if any of you know of positions that bankers can get into at such companies.

I know it's possible to go from IB to an "automotive giant." Now you just listed two subsidiaries of Volkswagen and Ferrari, which is not a giant as much as a luxury brand. The guy I know ended up at a big 3 automaker. These companies do a lot of their planning across all their brands, so I wouldn't be surprised if there aren't many Porsche or Lamborghini specific employees. I guess it all depends what you want to do. I would also imagine that all the companies you listed have those groups in Europe, if that's something that's a no-go for you.

Corporate development is what I know, something like this literally has banking in the minimum requirements.
