IB to Derivatives Trader?
Curious about this path, couldn't find a thread about it. I know L/S funds are a somewhat common exit from IB, but how difficult would it be to end up in a risk-taking trading seat with a derivates aspect from an IB background?
bumping
Have no experience- but after talking to a lot of traders they look for basically math/cs/stats ppl who have a good view on the markets. if you have the technical skills I don’t see why not. Prolly need to binomial options pricing and deriving black scholes for eq derives. Again my .02. I’m not on a seat but just what I have heard
Derivatives is pretty quanty on the trading side but not as much on the sales side
