Are there any training programs you guys would recommend to a prospective monkey? I've heard of one at Merrill Lynch, so any links would be greatly appreciated.

ML uses training the street if i'm not wrong... went to a 1 day valuation seminar by merrill lynch, very basic stuff, but it's more for networking purposes...
Depends on how much money you are willing to spend, you get what you pay for. If you are looking for a comprehensive, sel-taught, introduction then go with Breaking into Wall St. The next step up would be the Investment Banking institute. Now if you are willing/able to spend more money, I would recommend the analyst exchange. They offer the same type of training you would receive as an SA and you can purchase industry specific case studies:healthcare, energy, etc. And I think the training at the Analyst Exchange is one on one.
