IB vs AM SA

Received an am offer for summer (£300bn+ aum). Curious about whether doing a summer in am will limit future opportunities compared with doing a summer in IB. Would appreciate any opinions! Thanks :)

AUM doesn't determine prestige or necessarily quality of experience/company btw.

AM is also not a job - what exactly are you doing at the asset manager?

Regardless, do IB if you want more optionality,  do AM if you're sure you want to do what you're interning for and if the AM is not one of the wank British AMs that are going down the toilet (e.g. abrdn).
