Ibanking college decisions: Brown or Cornell? Uchicago??

Hey guys, I'm a high school senior applying for colleges with a plan to work in IB or in a hedge fund when I am finished with college. I have to make the decision to apply ED to either Brown or Cornell. Is one of these schools better than the other for Ibanking, or are they pretty much identical?

My understanding is that UChicago is a good option for getting in to IB, but only in the Chicago area which I believe has lower salaries. Is this the case? Also, is UMichigan up there with these other schools? I have heard it is good for investment banking, but I'm confused about this because it is significantly easier to get into than most other target schools.

Thanks guys!

Edit: Also, are LACS bad, and how perfectly correlated is college ranking with IB opportunities?

Do NOT go to college based on what some arrogant kid on this forum tells you. All three place extremely well.

To clarify misconceptions above, Brown places especially well... I work at GS and Brown had more summer analysts than all other ivies except for Harvard/Wharton last summer. Not putting down Cornell or Chicago either... just saying kids here would be lying to tell you it makes a huge difference.

Make your college decision based on something more meaningful than this.

Those three schools have three different people.

However, IMHO I would side with UChicago because I think I would thrive in a more competitive sphere. Cornell can be like that too, but its more of an ivy/technical competitive sphere than UChicago. Brown from my understanding doesn't send many to IBD, but is a good school. IMHO the rep it gets makes me think of it as a top top top LAC rather than an Ivy, but it's still in the Ivy League so it is what it is. If you love the feel there you can go there and break in though.

So I'd say: UChicago = Cornell, then Brown.

Just do a Linkedin search to get a sense of how the graduates fare. I can tell you from just my cursory 20 second glance that plenty of Brown grads end up in IB, FYI.

I'd use other factors to make my decision (fit, affordability, etc) when the schools in question are all so closely reputed
