I don't get why they come to an IBD forum to bash it, are there any who like it or are glad they pursued it? I'm not convinced yet to be scared off.

i don't think people are coming on here just to bash it. a lot of the bashing is humorous stuff by people who are actually in the industry

look at "homeless investment banker" thread on page 2. its funny.

and to answer your question... no. there is no one who likes it.

 

IBD bashing is probably a seasonal (at least at the Analyst level).

In June/July you're either new or just got paid a bonus and took a week off, so you feel energized/recharged. By December you're exhausted, but at least you get a little reprieve while clients/MDs take time off for the holidays.

And now it's March...you're bonus is still 4 months away and you've been getting crushed consistently since New Year's and there is nothing to look forward in the next 4 months.
