Looking at Allen Edmonds shoes. Really like the Boulevards (open lacing system). Would these be acceptable at my NYC office or would it be better to go an Oxford like the Fifth or Park Aves? Also, is their "Walnut" acceptable for the office or is it too light a brown?

No one cares. If they' looking at your shoes, you have bigger issues to worry about. I have both the Park Avenue and the Fifth Avenue. They're both nice, but the Park Avenue shines up better. I also have the Cavanaugh, one of their loafers, which are pretty nice. Just make sure to get them on sale. No use in paying full retail for AE.
