IBD Special Equities Group
Tried search function to no avail...
From what I understand, this team sits between IBD and S&T, marketing and structuring transactions for clients (incl. restricted stock trading, share repurchases, stock distributions and liquidiations, tender offerings, open market repurchases). Key points of contact would be ECM, M & A, and various S & T as well.
Any insight on the type of work (i.e., any modelling skill developed), exit opps, future of these types of desks? Appreciate the insight of more informed / better placed monkeys, as always.
Sounds like the equity equivalent of a liability management group.
No clue on what the actual work is but I would think mostly in line with ECM in terms of skills/modelling/exit opps.
They provide structuring advice and trade execution for non-traditional equity transactions. The group provides a multi-disciplinary approach in advising and solving a corporation’s equity-related issues.
Did you copy/paste that all by yourself?
Makes sense - appreciate the quick responses.
