IBs by average deal size?
Might be a stupid question, I'm not sure, as I'm not in IB.I know that deal size varies by coverage group, but can someone provide a ballpark estimate for how large a "typical" deal is that, say, GS or MS takes the lead on? What about a BAML or a Citi - is it any different? Or an MM like Jefferies, or larger "regionals"like KeyBanc or Truist?

Badda bing badda boom. Divide $ Value by # of Deals to get the average.
This will give a way higher average than actual. MM sell sides for $500M don’t get disclosed, only big public deals do. Every single BB (and most EBs as well) do a ton of these deals too, they just aren’t disclosing them so the average you see is way higher than actual
The more deals a bank does with private companies, the less reliable information you’ll find on publicly accessible deal values. For most the MM banks you would need internal sources to find average deal value. For example I’m at a MM bank and my group’s average deal value is about 750M
Blair tech?
Sounds like it. Blair as a whole is at an average of ~$650m.
Rothschild US avg deal size is about $900mm
