If you could ask IR.....
A single question. What would it be?
What would you LOVE to know about a company?

I would like to know what the earnings numbers are the day before they are announced.
What they are hiding from their financial statements.
You'd get IR speak though.
"It's definitely a possibility." "It's quite possibly definite."
Talking to IR is like talking to Baghdad Bob. Due to Reg-FD, these guys are restricted from telling you anything that is not already public information.
Seriously though, a good IR guy can be very helpful. I always ask them to check my model - what looks out of whack, what looks inline.
I am the guy on my team who writes the questions the Analyst asks on the earnings call. You have to create a bunch of questions in case your analyst is chosen last.
So what would you ask them?
Are they useful for getting anything else out of them besides checking models?
whats your number?
IR chicks are usually hot (at least in the PE world, maybe not corporate...)
